How fast do credit card companies report changes?

I have paid down some balances already for some time but the changes are not appearing on my credit report. I’m not pulling up my credit however, I have alerts when my scores go up or down or if there’s inquiries etc. Do I have to ask them to report the change in balance? Why is it that when you rack up a ton of charges they report them really fast but when they’re paid off, they take forever? Is there a way to "speed up" the process?

all the credit card card copmaines report to the three credit bureaus once a month. Just paying down balances in one month will not make a difference in your score unless your debt to income ratio makes a big change. If you are looking for the free credit report national site, check out this site

Which credit reporting agency is best for the credit report?

I know that i can get my free credit report once a year, but there are like 3 reporting agencies to chose from. Which of those agencies is most accurate, and gives out the most info? I want one, to show all the negatives thing i might have in order for me to fix them, if there are any.

The problem is that not all creditors report to all three bureaus and not all lenders use the same report. Some information will show up on some reports and not others. Get all three FICO scores and credit reports — but make sure you don’t go to the individual credit bureaus to get your scores. They each use something called a credit score, but they use different formulas to achieve a number. What you need is a FICO score — which you can only get from the Fair Isaac Corporation, a company based in California. FICO, put simply, is a persons credit score.

How to Find Legitimate Consumer Credit Counseling Services?

There are hundreds of organizations that provide consumer credit counseling. Most of them are reputable services committed to helping consumers resolve their money troubles. However, some charge excessive fees, give questionable advice, and fail to perform the services they promise.

To find reputed and legitimate agencies make sure that it meets the following criteria: -

- Is an NFCC or AICCCA member agency.
- Employs certified counselors.
- Provides substantive counseling and education.
- Provides more than one debt management option.
- Charges reasonable or no fees.
- Makes up-front disclosures about services, fees, and revenues.
- Has a clean business record.

There are very few of such companies. So first try and then move ahead.

CREDit REPORT?????? ?

when i activated my credit card they asked me to verify the make and model of my car?

how do they know, it is a diff. company? my credit report doesn’t say.

how do i see the credit report they see that has make model?

I have never seen the make or model of someone’s car on a credit report. It is possible that they are cross referencing motor vehicle registration data as some sort of security measure. So I would give an honest answer.

There are new "consumer reports" that are beginning to emerge that gather more than just credit information. They are pulling from a wide variety of sources including criminal records, public records, evictions and rental databases. See below for a recent article about this.

What does the credit to debt ratio on your credit report mean?

I have 100% credit and 0% debt on my credit report. What does this mean? Im young 21 and im just really starting to really look at this stuff. And I really have no idea what all this means.

Debt Used divided by Available Credit = Debt Load

Example:
$2,500 of debt charged to a credit card
with a limit of $5,000

$2,500/$5,000 = a debt to credit ratio of 50%

$10,000 of credit card debt with total available limits of $10,000 (means you are maxed out on all your cards!)

= $10,000/$10,000 = 100% debt to credit ratio

If you have 0 debt then your debt to available credit ratio is excellent.

How does an unused credit card report on your credit report?

If I have a credit card that I do not use, how does this account reflect on my credit report? Does it show an open account in good standing?

It shows on your credit report as X number of dollars credit allowed, zero for maximum use and zero for outstanding balance. But it does add to your credit score just because someone issued it to you.

How often does Household Bank report to credit bureaus?

I recently got a Household Bank credit card in order to help build up my credit score. I have only used the card for small purchases and have paid off the balances for 2 months (the amount of time I’ve had the card) but no payments have shown up on my credit report as of yet. I was under the impression that Household Bank reported to the credit bureaus every month. Does anyone know when the payments might show up?

The report says you have the card and all the info about loan type and terms etc. and only when you don’t pay or a late payment do they report it. The credit report is not an accounting balance sheet. Every month the credit reporting agencies get bad debts for the information to build credit reports. Once you have a good report, they don’t need to keep reporting every time you write a check already.

How bad does your credit have to be to not be hired by a financial services company?

I’m applying for a position with a financial services company, and my credit score is in the low to mid 600’s. My payment history has been quite good over the last year and a half.
Thanks for the responses so far. I have late payments about 2 years ago. Over the last 1.5 to 2 years, my payment history has been flawless. My credit score is still low, but I have no bankruptcies/no judgments either. Think I’m ok?

As a future hire in a Financial Service position, your credit is a huge factor in your hiring process. You will be qualified on your credibility, which is understandable. They must know that you are a good custodian of credit yourself before they would allow you to consult with future clientèle.

Now with that being said, you need to continue making the proper financial moves pressing forward for credibility servicing but that won’t fix the derogatory items you currently have for some time.

You have absolutely one option here before you engage the financial services firm for employment. That is credit repair. Go to http://ineedagoodcreditscore.com/ and call these guys immediately! You will be represented by a team of attorneys that are extreme pit bulls in enforcing credit consumer laws. They will make a impact on your credit report within the first 30-45 days that will allow you to walk into your future work place with your chin up and chest out.

There is no other company out there that can assist you the way that they will.

Good Luck,

The Credit Wolf
