CREDit REPORT???????

when i activated my credit card they asked me to verify the make and model of my car?

how do they know, it is a diff. company? my credit report doesn’t say.

how do i see the credit report they see that has make model?

There are new "consumer reports" that are beginning to emerge that gather more than just credit information. They are pulling from a wide variety of sources including criminal records, public records, evictions and rental databases. See below for a recent article about this.

I have never seen the make or model of someone’s car on a credit report. It is possible that they are cross referencing motor vehicle registration data as some sort of security measure. So I would give an honest answer.
